CERN – the European Organization for Particle Physics (www.cern.ch) – is one of the world’s leading – and largest – centres for scientific research in fundamental physics.

CERN is located near Geneva, Switzerland, employs around 2.400 persons of many nationalities and has a physics user community in excess of 10.000 people from all over the world.
